FAQs
Do you offer private 1 on 1 or small scale training?
Yes! We completely understand the value in 1 on 1, couple, and friends/family training. I routinely train parent/child teams and can scale those sessions to any shooter’s level of experience and desired goals.
Do you recommend any particular pistols/rifles/gear?
We live in the golden age of gear. There is a gray paste of excellence covering almost all modern striker fired pistols(Glock, M&P, HK, etc…). Go to a range that rents guns and shoot as many as possible. Buy the one that you shoot the best, not the one that “fits your hand” the best. After years of shooting competitively, I shoot Glock pistols. They are the most reliable pistol currently produced.
When it comes to rifles, I prefer Bravo Company Manufacturing rifles.
Every pistol needs a holster. I prefer Tenicor, Safariland, and Upper Hand Holsters.
Every holster needs a quality belt to hold it. I prefer belts from www.nexbelt.com or the Tenicor “Zero” belt.
Every rifle needs a sling. I prefer the Magpul MS4 or any Magpul variant. I prefer slings that can convert from a 2 to a single point setup.
When it comes to weapon lights here are two brands worth purchasing- Surefire or Streamlight.
Red Dot Sights- EOTech, Aimpoint, Holosun, or Primary Arms. Vortex has a fantastic warranty, but many people have to use it.
Do you teach a License to Carry course?
I do not teach License to Carry for a few reasons:
You already have a license to carry. It’s called the Constitution. I don’t believe in paying to exercise God-given rights.
The LTC Course is focused almost solely on the arbitrary laws surrounding it, not marksmanship or safety.
The shooting standards for the tests are laughable, and I would not feel comfortable signing off on the state’s low standard of marksmanship.
Taking a Know Your Pistol course in either format will leave you more than prepared enough to pass any LTC shooting standard.
We currently do not sell any stickers, hats, patches, shirts, or “swag” of any type. We don’t sell them because spending money on any of those things will not make you a better shooter. I give out knowledge, not patches. You should invest in training and ammunition that will enhance your capabilities. I will almost certainly hand you some piece of SWAG for free when you complete a course.
